In some cultures, it’s considered bad luck to give a watch as a gift. In China it’s because the word for watch and funeral are very similar. But in America, we give them out as retirement gifts, as Christmas presents, and even as birth gifts. Why should you give a watch?
Well, as retirement gifts a gold stuhrling watch can signify a job well done and a career of satisfaction with a company. It means you’ve earned your retirement and that you’re well on your way to a deserved time off.

Okay, maybe not Saturdays, but all of those others are definitely good reasons for giving a gift to someone you love.
